New England Automotive Industry Trade Association AWANE Announces 2019 Transition to go National

PETERBOROUGH, N.H., Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — AWANE (Automotive Wholesalers Association of New England) will become known as the National Automotive Roads and Fuel Association (NARFA) after 90 years of supporting hundreds of automotive-related businesses in the New England area.

Interested parties can learn more about the upcoming transition and programs on the company’s website,

The non-profit trade association, established in 1929, provides industry advocacy, a voice in legislative issues, administrative support, health insurance, other employee benefit services, and much more to businesses in the automotive, roads, fuel, and related industries.

AWANE’s rebranding will serve as the catalyst for its membership beyond New England, giving the association a more powerful voice to advocate on issues of concern to its membership and greater group buying power to expand the benefits it offers to members.

AWANE leadership says that the NARFA transition will allow for even greater service and program options for its members, continuing the legacy that hundreds of businesses and their employees have grown to trust.

The first of many benefit additions will be the Multiple Employer Pension (MEP) Program, which provides members with user-friendly retirement and investment options, as well as increased cost savings, ease of administrative burden, and more.

Executive Director Philip Healy says, “We are extremely proud of our first 90 years and grateful for our member loyalty and trust. As we look to build on our advocacy and our voice, and offer our members more, the timing was perfect to refresh our brand and renew our commitment to our existing membership. Our geographic locations might be expanding, but our core values of service and commitment to our membership only get stronger.”

Mr. Healy goes on to say, “At a time where many businesses are looking to be a part of something greater to have a say in legislation and industry advocacy, our association has a long history of success in these areas, as well as a history of partnering with our members to ensure that we are addressing the needs of our members first and foremost.”
