104 West Partners Promotes Bushnell to Partner and Wyly to VP of Operations; Takes Home Handful of Industry Awards
Denver tech firm recognized among communication professionals as agency grows leadership team
DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–104 West Partners, a Denver-based firm specializing in communications and PR programs for technology market clients, today announced promotions for two long-standing leaders, naming Alissa Bushnell a partner and promoting Joan Wyly to vice president of operations.
Alissa Bushnell, who heads media relations and strategy for 104 West, will assume a broader role in driving client service, supervising overall strategic media relations direction across 104 West’s client base, and continuing to serve as a senior client counselor and mentor to the staff.
Bushnell has deep experience in the tech industry. She led the agency team that first publicized one of the first major worm virus outbreaks and did communications for the seminal maker movement event, Maker Faire. Bushnell has been with 104 West since 2012 and joins the partnership that already includes Brian Mast and 104 West Founder and CEO, Patrick Ward.
The firm also promoted Joan Wyly to the new position of vice president of Operations, where she will take on a larger strategic role in managing day-to-day processes of the company. She’s served as the HR and operations lead since 2015 and offers over a decade of experience working for rapidly growing design, social analytics and public relations agencies.
In addition to new promotions, 104 West announced it won three Hermes Awards this spring, which highlight excellence in messaging, market communications and media relations. The firm received:
- A Platinum award for the campaign launching Two Bit Circus’ first Micro-Amusement Park™
- A Platinum award for a communications and marketing campaign for Magisto, highlighting a growing digital video market strategy for B2B
- A Gold award for Two Bit Circus’ online placement, “Two Bit Circus will bring an indoor game-focused theme park to downtown Los Angeles” in the Los Angeles Times
“In our 16-year history, we have had the good fortune to work with wonderful colleagues and clients,” said Patrick Ward, 104 West CEO. “These promotions reflect both the growth of the firm and the talent of these professionals; and the awards, and those we have received over the years, represent the great work our clients allow us to do.”
104 West was named a finalist in PR Week’s 2019 Boutique Agency of the Year award.
